Freedom of the Buttocks
Pour la Liberte de la Fesse (For the Freedom of the Buttocks) is a pretty ambitious photo project by a group of French students who pose nude in public at iconic landmarks around the world. David Felix, one of the original initiators of this now-global phenomenon, says, "We're not here to do something really grandiose, the idea came out of nowhere just for a laugh. We were surprised at the response." The group claims to have 400 photos so far.

If You Ban the Burquini, You Should Ban All Swimwear
The story of a French pool prohibiting a Muslim women from wearing her burquini has gone viral on the Internet. The official in charge of the public pools in that region is quoted as saying:
The simple solution is to require nudity in public pools, but only after swimmers take a soap shower first. This is a posted policy at every nudist venue I've visited.
There's no way to know if anyone has bathed before getting into a public pool, and many people wear their bathing suits under their clothing. In addition, many people don't wash their suits on a regular basis, so who knows what sort of bacteria is thriving between the threads.
Not to mention the fact that the person wearing a wet bathing suit is at risk of getting a yeast infection.
In the 205 Arguments and Observations in Support of Naturism, the following is second on the list:
You want public pools to be sanitary and fair to all? Then nudity is the simple, natural solution.

From Immoral to Unaesthetic
Fewer French women are choosing to go topfree on beaches, but it's not because the rebellious spirit of feminism which began the tradition in the 60s and 70s has abated, but rather because women feel less confident in their bodies.
"But what has been projected onto it today are different values, identified, not with equality but desire, sexualisation of the body, voluptuousness and the body perfect. It's less about women feeling at ease and free. It has been linked to the harsh cult of the body beautiful, where no imperfection is tolerated."

Peaceful Nude Protest at NATO Meeting
Love and peace was the message at a small non-violent protest near where President Obama was meeting with Angela Merkel. Some of the protesters took off their clothes to prove their points.
